AGAIN!

This intersection gets REAL crazy during rush hour. Every time I pass through here and there's a car in the bike lane, I have to go around into traffic that's attempting to race to the backed up traffic to the north. It's REALLY stupid.

Call 311 when this happens. They send the cops and the car gets a $100 ticket. I do this every single time. It's satisfying.

is it worth it if they are still in the car...
maybe they just pulled over to talk on the phone
which is safer then driving while talking on the phone

While I don't disagree that it's safer to pull over to talk on the phone, this is probably the WORST bike lane in terms of cyclist safety in the city of Chicago. If you have to pull out of this lane, during rush hour, you have to deal with a LARGE amount of cars moving VERY fast. I don't really think it's THAT important to answer the phone in the first place if you're in the car. Pull over and park someplace legally if you really have to talk.
